I have always taken good care of my skin. Even after a long night studying in the library or an evening out with my friends- I ALWAYS wash my face before I go to bed, even if I’m dead tired. It’s important to me to maintain good habits like this because more care you put into you skin as a teen or young adult- the less likely you are to see early signs of aging as you get older. While I’m NOT a dermatologist- I really believe this motto for beautiful skin- and who doesn’t want beautiful skin?
As a said in my previous post, I tend to be on the oilier side and I have large and in-charge pores around my nose. I really didn’t feel like the standard face wash was doing it for me anymore- I still felt like my face wasn’t as clean as it could be. That was a year ago, since then I’ve found the perfect tool to really get in there and scrub away all the grim in your pores. Behold, the Clarisonic!
Let me give you some facts on the Clarisonic:
- Removes 6x more makeup then manual cleaning
- Exfoliates and softens skin
- Helps improve the appearance of skin (texture, tone, firmness, and elasticity
- Prevents and reduces the appearance of wrinkles
So here’s the deal! I have the Clarisonic Mia and use the normal brush attachment. I usually use it at night, sometimes every other night (depends on how much makeup I wear). Since I have been using this product I have noticed a type of deep cleaning that I have only experienced during facials. I used to have to depend on astringent or a scrub to really clean my face, but now all I need my Clarisonic. My pores appear smaller, my skin is smoother, and my moisturizer adsorbs much easier. The Clarisonic claims that it can be used twice a day, which I don’t recommend. Your skin needs to rebuild and heal after exfoliation so I recommend just using it at night or take a one-day break between usage.
Have you use the Clarisonic? We would love to hear your thoughts on this tool!
Disclaimer: Some people have experience “skin purging” the first few weeks of using the Clarisonic- don’t be alarmed if this happens to you! This just means the dirt is slowly coming out of your pores and sometimes this can cause a minor break out. This usually goes away after a few uses; so don’t be discouraged if this happens to you.
